The Negombo Magistrate’s Court has ordered to confiscate a stock of ophthalmic surgical instruments imported to the country without a license.
The National Medicines Regulatory Authority yesterday (July 11) handed over the surgical instruments to the court.
The equipment seized from Seeduwa is worth over Rs. 3 million. The person who imported the equipments was also produced before courts and was later released on a fine of Rs. 50,000.
